Our Zen Master Meditation ZMMS Burnished Bowls are thoughtfully crafted metal singing bowls designed to support personal meditation and mindful sound practice. Sitting between our Therapeutic and Bioconcert series, these bowls offer a balanced blend of felt vibration and expansive sound, making them well suited for personal use, small group work, or intimate sound journeys. Compared to the standard Zen Master Meditation (ZMM) bowls, the ZMMS Burnished line offers the same sound profile and playing response with a more luminous, refined interior finish.
Each bowl retains the natural fire char from the forging process on its exterior and bottom, giving it a raw, elemental finish, while the rim is left smooth and polished for effortless rim playing. Like the Therapeutic Bowls, they are lathed to remove inside surface impurities and create a smooth, even finish that helps produce clear, stable tones. This precise shaping ensures you can enjoy both the fundamental note—the lowest, most prominent sound—and rich harmonic overtones that add depth and dimension to your practice.
Zen Master Meditation ZMMS Burnished Bowls are designed to deliver a balanced experience, offering enough vibration to be felt during close placement or seated meditation along with sufficient volume and sustain to gently fill your space. As with all metal singing bowls, each bowl is one of a kind, with subtle variations in thickness, shape, and patina that give every bowl its own unique voice. Finding the bowl’s sweet spot through small adjustments in mallet angle, pressure, or speed invites a deeper, more personal connection to your meditation practice.
